Graduation Hoods/Scarfs

This project is privately funded by Freedom Scrubs and its owners.

We are LOANING (free of charge) graduation hoods/scarfs for graduates across faculties, faiths, institutions – nationwide. Due to requests, we also offer the option to purchase your own.

This brand was created with one goal – to allow South Africans to make full, unapologetic use of their freedom and inspire change beyond simple lip service.

Class of 2024
The time to ‘create awareness’ has long passed – action is all that counts as we enter the second year in which WE allowed an occupying apartheid state to exterminate, displace and terrorize a whole nation.
The whole world asks ‘how is this happening’? it happens because we enabled it through silence.

Our academic institutions will only meet our demands and cut ties with ‘1sr@3L’ if they are pressured by the unwavering voice of their students.
Wearing this symbolic attire at such a prestigious event immortalizes the struggle – these photos will plaster the halls of universities for decades. It threatens stakeholders interests because the institution bears defiance against the ties and contributions those partners may offer (it does not simply ‘create awareness’, it creates meaningful wheels of change.
silence is complicity. if you choose neutrality, you have chosen the side of the oppressor.
